# Markdown Syntax

> Use Markdown formatting to style your script

## Text formatting

Add `**`, `*`, `~~`, or \`\`\` at the start and end of parts of text to format it. It works for individual words, sentences, and blocks of text.

| Style | How to write it | Result |
| - | - | - |
| Bold | `**bold**` | **bold** |
| Italic | `*italic*` | *italic* |
| Strikethrough | `~~strikethrough~~` | ~~strikethrough~~ |
| Monospaced | `monospaced` | `monospaced` |

You can combine these. For example, write `***bold and italic***` to get ***bold and italic*** text.
